ILA and USMX Negotiation continues

According to the Wall Street Journal,  contract negotiators for U.S. East and Gulf Coast dock workers returned to the table yesterday, Monday, Dec. 10  for three days of talks between the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) and the U.S. Maritime Alliance (USMX).

As we know, the current contract for Atlantic coast workers was set to expire Sept. 30 but the deadline was extended until Dec. 29 to avoid imminent port strikes. The round of contract negotiations that is set for this week will tackle such issues as  wages, benefits and jurisdiction.

RCL Agencies will continue to monitor the situation and will report further updates once available.
