BRAZIL HAZARDOUS CARGO REQUIREMENT

Please be advised that according to the Brazilian legislation (National law – ANTAQ-NR29/2011) carriers are mandated to provide a Material Safety Data Sheet in the local language (Portuguese) for  hazardous cargo discharging in Brazil.

The SDS covering the hazardous product needs to come from the actual manufacturer which is not necessarily the seller of material.

Please note that a SDS and hazardous declaration translated to Portuguese must be available  within 3 days from Port of loading departure of the vessel. Failure to provide MSDS in Portuguese or FISPQ will result in stoppage of the vessel.
Please contact RCL Agencies  representative at 973-779-5900  if you have any  questions regarding your shipment.
